Flipkart or Amazon? But first, BE-AWARE !

Hello my lovely audience :)
I would like to begin by saying that both Flipkart and Amazon serve the same purpose i.e. �to serve you better�.

They both have:-

• Nice product range. There are thousands of products to choose from. From a small pen drive to laptops to refrigerators, they both have it all.

• Good Customer Care Service. Never has it happened that my queries haven�t been sorted within a day of initial contact. Plus, customer service of both the sites are available 24*7 and they resolve the issue on phone almost immediately.

• Genuine products. I haven�t received any fake product from any of these site ever *touchwood* :) be it a small item like kajal or a costly item like a MacBook. These sites are completely GENUINE

• Product Return facility. I feel that this is the single, most important reason that Indians have started buying products online, we can trust in these sites that if the product received is damaged or altogether missing, then our money will either be returned or we�ll be provided with a replacement product.

BUT, THE SIMILARITY ENDS HERE ! !

The dark side of Amazon !

Have you ever thought that when you are buying a product on Flipkart or Amazon, to whom are you actually paying the money? No?

Let me tell you, when you purchase a product from Amazon, your money goes directly to Seattle, Washington USA i.e. the headquarters of Amazon. Now you might think that you purchased the product from amazon.in then how come the money goes to USA?
Well, the simple answer to this is that Amazon is a foreign website which originated in USA. 
Amazon.in is just their domain to sell products in India. The billions of Rupees they earn from us, gets converted into millions of Dollars and thereby strengthening the value of Dollar against the value of Rupee which results in higher fuel prices. 

Whereas in case of Flipkart, since it is an Indian site founded by Binny Bansal and Sachin Bansal, the money we spend on purchasing our products from Flipkart stays within the country itself. This money helps in increasing the GDP of India as well as strengthening Rupee against Dollar thereby reducing interest and loan rates across various international and domestic sectors.

The dark side of Flipkart !

There is no denying the fact that Flipkart sells quality products. BUT there are some products for which Flipkart is not the authorized seller and therefore there is no guarantee of the product being genuine.

I know few such products, I am listing the link of one such product which is very widely used among teenagers as well as adults and is available on both Flipkart and Amazon:-

My brother uses this product and he called the headquarters of this brand few months ago to inquire about the genuine sellers of this product in India. He was told that their authorized sellers are only -'Neulife', 'Cloudtail', 'Primarc Pecan Retail' and 'Healthkart'

Now you might know that Cloudtail is the one of the biggest sellers of Amazon thereby concluding Amazon to be a safe site to buy this product.

Now, don't get me wrong. I don't mean to state that Flipkart sells fake copy of this product. I simply mean that Amazon offers much more peace of mind than Flipkart in this product range.

Now my audience, I leave the decision upon you to choose your favorite e-commerce shopping site. I hope the information I provided will be helpful to you all while making a buying decision on these sites.
